Figa

Female · Young · 2 years

Figa has returned from adoption... Let's not allow the shelter to break this sensitive soul! It was supposed to be "forever," but it ended after a year. Figa is again looking at the world from behind the shelter bars. She doesn't understand why she had to trade a couch and a warm home for a cold box again. We also can't help but shed tears looking at her lost eyes. Let's not allow this return to be the end of her story. Share - help Figa find a person who will never let her down again! 🍀 Who is Figa? - Age: Approximately 2 years (she came to us as a 11-month-old puppy, spent a year at home). - Character: Absolutely loving, extremely calm and wonderfully sensitive. - Relationship with people: Although initially cautious, she opens up incredibly quickly. It takes just a few days, a little patience and love for Figa to give her whole big dog heart to a person. - Quick learner: It's a smart, young female dog who really wants to cooperate and quickly rebuilds trust. What does Figa need in a new home? (Important information) Figa returned from adoption because her previous owners did not cope with the challenges of raising her and unfortunately did not work with a behaviorist. We are looking for a home that will approach the topic responsibly: - Home as a single: Figa did not get along with the resident dog and shows difficult behavior towards other dogs. In a new home, she should be the only pet, and working on her relationships with other dogs on walks will require time and support from a specialist. - Separation anxiety: Figa strongly attaches to a person and sometimes shows anxiety about being alone. The future caregiver must be ready for gradual training to stay alone at home. Why time matters? Shelter reality can break even the toughest souls, and for sensitive, young Figa, returning behind the bars is a huge trauma. We can't let her waste her best years here. She urgently needs stability, wise guidance, and a safe home that will heal her broken heart. Give Figa a new, better life. She is waiting for you!

💔 Figa wróciła z adopcji... Nie pozwólmy, by schronisko złamało tę wrażliwą duszę! - Charakter: Absolutnie kochana, niezwykle spokojna i cudownie wrażliwa. - Stosunek do ludzi: Choć początkowo bywa ostrożna, to niesamowicie szybko się otwiera. Wystarczy kilka dni, odrobina cierpliwości i miłości, by Figa oddała człowiekowi całe swoje wielkie, psie serce. Czego potrzebuje Figa w nowym domu?

About Figa

What life with Figa looks like

Figa is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Figa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Figa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Figa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Figa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Figa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Figa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Figa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
