Fiori

Female · Young · 1 year

Meet Fiori, our lovely and gentle Jack Russel cross! Fiori arrived as a stray so we have no history on her or how she is in a home. She is sweet and sensitive soul who can be worried of handling and new people, especially men, and needs some confidence building when out in the wider world. She is looking for less experienced owners, who understand her sensitive nature and will give her all the time she needs to settle in a home. Fiori is a delightful young girl, but due to her worried nature she is best suited to live with teens 13+ who won't overwhelm her in the home. She is looking for a home away from the inner city and would love her own private garden. She likes other dogs, but has grumbled before over shared fuss time, so would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She has not shown any chase behaviours while onsite, so could possibly live with a calm, dog savvy cat. Fiori is ready for a home of her own where she can put her paws up and enjoy all the attention she deserves. She will make a wonderful addition to any household lucky enough to have her. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Fiori, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest. tch for the dog you have contacted us about

About Fiori

What life with Fiori looks like

Fiori is a small young adult dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fiori, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fiori?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fiori on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fiori if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fiori already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fiori isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fiori and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
