Pixel

Female · Adult · 8 years

Meet Pixel! Level up your home with our wonderful Pixel! Pixel is a cheeky girl full of character; she likes a fuss on her terms, especially cheek and chin scratches. She is an energetic girl and loves to play too! Pixel is the purrrfect balance of independent, playful and affectionate! If you can't find her, she'll be soaking up the sun in the garden, so she will need access to an outside space. As Pixel can let you know when she's had enough of a fuss and can be stressed by young children, she would be best suited to living with teenagers who can provide her with the quiet and understanding that she needs. She is wonderful cat and will show you so much love when she can lead interactions. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Pixel, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About Pixel

What life with Pixel looks like

Pixel is a medium-sized adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pixel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pixel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pixel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pixel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pixel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pixel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pixel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
