Fips

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 2 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and quiet, little Fips… His story: This little heartbreaker is named Fips – and whoever looks into his eyes is immediately smitten! The delicate, approximately 2-month-old puppy was rescued together with his mother and siblings from the public animal shelter. Now he waits to find his own family, which will give him security, love, and a safe future. Fips is a very friendly, playful, and people-oriented young dog. He enjoys every pat and displays the typical happy puppy behavior: playing, snuggling, and curiously exploring the world. He will surely fit into any type of family – whether with children, couples, or individuals who want to give him time and attention. He also gets along well with other dogs. His mother has a shoulder height of about 48 cm and weighs around 15 kg, so we assume that Fips will also be of medium size. Currently, he weighs about 2 kg. From an appearance standpoint, he resembles a mix of Terrier and Dackel, with his short legs, white fur with black spots, cute button eyes, and sweet floppy ears. The little puppy arithmetic is probably still a mystery to him and should be learned step by step. Positive dog training classes can certainly help him and his future family become a great team – especially during puberty, which the little ones sometimes forget everything they've learned. Would you like to give Fips a home? Fips travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Due to his young age, he is not yet neutered. For his travel arrangements, he has his EU pet passport with him. An alternative foster home would also be a great blessing for him. Many thanks to Birgit G. – you gave Fips this sweet name and the chance at a wonderful life. As of: 17.11.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, kleiner Fips… Stand: 17.11.2025

About Fips

What life with Fips looks like

Fips is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fips, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fips?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fips on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fips if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fips already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fips isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fips and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
