Fitji

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 9 years

Hi friends, I'm Fitji, the handsome talker! With my girlfriend Maya, we were rescued from a really bad place... But today, we're back on our feet and ready to write a new chapter in our lives ✨ I'm 9 years old, but that doesn't mean I'm a grandpa! I still have lots of energy, I love moving around and I really want to discover lots of new things with my future family. So, if you want to open your heart and home to me, don't hesitate to fill out a form... I'm waiting for you with anticipation 🤩💛 I was found in a poor living condition, in the middle of trash, urine and feces, during a police intervention. Touched by my situation, a police officer contacted the association to help me, as well as my fellow companion. After a night at the police station, I took the train towards my new life to join my foster family. I'm not very demanding, but I need a gentle and patient family. I can't stand loud noises and some abrupt gestures can scare me. With me, you'll have to be calm, reassuring and take the time to gain my trust. At first, I can be a bit wary of people I don't know. But once reassured, I reveal my true face: that of a cute little dog... and a big talker! Yes, I love expressing myself 😄 So you'll need patience and kindness to help me channel all this gently. An outdoor space would be a plus, as I like to enjoy the outside, but the most important for me is a peaceful home filled with tenderness, where I can develop at my own pace and create a strong bond with my humans 💛 In terms of interactions, I get along very well with other dogs and have no issues with children. As for cats, it's a bit more unclear: I've never lived with one. However... I must admit that I sometimes chase the neighbor's cat (but after all, it's him who comes into my garden, right? 😅). 🍼 Date of birth: 24/12/2017🐶 Breed: Spitz💡 Identified (no. 990 71), vaccinated, spayed📍 Location: 22 ✅ To adopt me, we will ask you for a contribution of 250 €. 😅). 🍼 Date de naissance : 24/12/2017🐶 Race : Spitz💡 Identifiée ( n°990 00 00 01 91 55 71 ), vacciné, stérilisé📍 Localisation : 22 ✅ Pour m’adopter, nous vous demanderons une participation de 250 €. About Fitji

What life with Fitji looks like

Fitji is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Brigade Animale Bénévole in brigade animale benevole.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fitji, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fitji?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Brigade Animale Bénévole handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fitji on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fitji if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Brigade Animale Bénévole will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fitji already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fitji isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Brigade Animale Bénévole early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fitji and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
