adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Flash is an approximately 8-year-old male dog who immediately catches attention with his friendly and balanced nature. He craves human company, is clingy, and enjoys every form of attention as if it had been missing for a long time. Found alone on a parking lot of an shopping center on the outskirts of Cluj, he was wandering around, searching for food and affection. No one had missed him, and he didn't have a chip. In the shelter, Flash shows himself as a very pleasant, easy-going dog. He is calm, friendly, and overall very balanced. He is not a frenzied or demanding dog but one who simply enjoys being around people and values closeness. We assume that Flash is a Mioritic-mixed breed. His calm, thoughtful behavior fits this well. At the same time, he is clearly people-oriented and actively seeks contact. This combination is typical: independent in nature but still closely oriented towards people. For Flash, a home in the countryside is sought. A house with a garden, peace, little hustle and bustle, and people who are familiar with herding dog guardians or are willing to deal intensively with it. A life in the city, with many distractions, tight spaces, and constantly changing impressions, does not suit him. Flash probably does not know or only knows a limited life in a household. Whether he is house-trained, moves safely in the house, or knows everyday things like sounds, visitors, or routines, we cannot say. These things need to be built up step by step. Positive working dog training classes can be an important support here. Flash is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated and brings his EU pet passport with him. He is named after his namesake, Christine U. Thank you for giving Flash his name. As of: 02.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Flash

What life with Flash looks like

Flash is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flash, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flash?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flash on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flash if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flash already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flash isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flash and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
