Flecha

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 20 years

Cuddling is highly recommended! Not only because the sweet Flecha is still a puppy, but because German Bracken are very people-oriented and love the proximity of their humans, which certainly applies to a German Bracke mixed breed as well. Flecha is a very cute, cuddly female puppy with speckled white and black fur, black markings on her face, and sweet floppy ears. She doesn’t look much like a future independent and endurance-filled hunting dog yet, but rather very playful and timid. That’s exactly how she is. She loves playing with her siblings, but she especially enjoys being with her primary caregiver. She has only had a primary caregiver at the animal shelter, so Flecha is on the lookout for her/his people, with whom she, as a curious, sensitive, and energetic female dog, not only wants to cuddle but also experience adventures in nature. She will quickly learn how wonderful it is to be a real (hunting) female dog, to sniff, run, and learn. All of this is still new to her. How strongly her prey drive is expressed is not yet known. Nor is anything known about her origin. Flecha was abandoned together with her siblings Pluma, Plomo, and Dardo. However, they were deliberately placed at the back door of a volunteer foster parent at the animal shelter, knowing they would end up in good hands. The four puppies were in good health, well-nourished, and likely just set down by their mother. The sweet Flecha is now searching for a nice home (preferably with a garden) with loving people who enjoy outdoor activities with their dog. As a young puppy, there is still a lot for her to learn. This has the great advantage that with love, patience, and time, Flecha and her new primary caregiver(s) can grow into a real team. German Bracken are known for their willingness and ease in learning. Nevertheless, it is of course a real task to train the cuddly treasure. It will be a lot of fun to learn with her playfully. © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V.

© 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Flecha

What life with Flecha looks like

Flecha is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flecha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flecha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flecha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flecha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flecha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flecha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flecha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
