Fleebee

Female

Fleebee, or Flippa as I'm affectionately called by my foster family, is a playful and affectionate cat. I was named this from day one because I can do super dolphin jumps when I want to be petted. I'm a very loving, people-oriented and lively cat. Ok... I can be a bit rough when playing, so it would be better if you don't have children at home. I also don't want other cats around - I'm a true princess. If you have a secure balcony, I would be very happy. Outdoor access would be nice too, but not necessary. I'm always happy to be where my humans are. I can also be alone, then I like to sleep in my scratching post. My foster family said I can take that with me if you want. I love to play, so feel free to swing the fishing rod for me. I'm still young. About a year... If you want to have me for a long time, please contact my foster family.

About Fleebee

What life with Fleebee looks like

Fleebee is a adult cat waiting at Tierheim Essen in Essen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fleebee, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fleebee?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Essen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fleebee on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fleebee if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Essen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fleebee already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fleebee isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Essen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fleebee and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
