Hoi, ik ben Flipper en ik ben terug van weggeweest. Ik woon namelijk al een poos bij DOA omdat ik een woedeprobleempje heb. Ik ben lief en schattig totdat ik dat niet meer ben, en dan ben ik echt heeeeeel erg link... Dan kiezen veel mensen denk ik nog liever een gevecht met een wilde leeuw dan met mij. Ik zie dan namelijk echt zwart voor mijn ogen en dat blijft meerdere uren, vaak dagen 'hangen'. Nu hoor ik je denken, ja maar wie adopteert nou zo'n onvoorspelbare poes. Maar daar wil ik graag iets over uitleggen. Als ik namelijk een stabiel huisje heb waar ik goed begrepen word dan ben ik een dotje, dus; Ik zoek een rustig en voorspelbaar huisje, waar niet te veel veranderende factoren zijn. In mijn vorige huisje was veel drukte, werd ik veel opgetild, en werd er niet altijd even goed rekening gehouden met mijn grenzen. Dit zorgde bij mij voor veel stress en op een gegeven moment had ik er genoeg van. Dingen als te veel en harde geluiden, of plotselinge bewegingen zijn voor mij al snel overprikkelend, en dan borrelt mijn innerlijke vulkaantje over. Ik zou ook graag een huisje willen waar ik lekker naar buiten kan, maar omdat het gemiauw en de aanwezigheid van andere katten een trigger voor mij kan zijn, lijkt het me een beter idee als ik een afgesloten tuin voor mij alleen heb. Een groot dakterras of balkonnetje lijken mij ook prima! Als ik niet naar buiten kan dan zoek ik wel een heel groot huis, zodat ik mijn energie kwijt kan en me terug kan trekken als het me even te veel wordt. En dan dacht je dat ik klaar was met mijn eisen, nee.. Ik wil (in ieder geval) in het begin een eigen kamer om te wennen aan de nieuwe omgeving. Ook moet mijn nieuwe baasje dus bereid zijn om mij voorlopig nog medicatie te geven tegen mijn grillen. Andere huisdieren, drukke mensen of kinderen, of een drukke rumoerige buurt zijn echt een no-go. En als er bezoek komt dan is het verstandig om mij even (in het begin) apart te zetten in mijn eigen kamer. Ook met momenten als oud- en nieuw of als het onweert is het goed om mij apart te zetten.
