's Middags stonden ze ermee aan de poort: een Stafford, overbeten van voor naar achter, wonden en littekens langs alle kanten. Haar pootjes, haar hele lijf, stonden vol met diepe wonden. Ze hadden haar zogezegd gevonden op straat, maar ze moest weg, ze wilden er nú van af. Maar wij konden niet onmiddellijk helpen, daarom hebben ze haar maar aan de poort van een van de buren vastgebonden en weggereden, en hun probleem was opgelost. Nu eerst werken aan haar gezondheid, de arme stakkerd.
