Flynn (m)

Mixed Breed · Unknown

FLYNN with the beautiful eyes. Why does no one see her? She looks right into your soul. FLYNN is no dog who pushes to the forefront. On the contrary. A dog who quietly and calmly observes what is happening around him. Afraid or cautious? It’s hard to say. Our German animal shelter colleague got to know him on site and was immediately fascinated by this beautiful dog who often stood by the pack and carefully observed everything. When you approach him, he is happy. His body vibrates, but you can also see that he doesn’t really know if you expect something from him. FLYNN lives in the private animal shelter of Dana, where he is well cared for, but there isn’t much time for him among the many dogs. FLYNN is large and black. These dogs have it harder, for some reason. That’s probably why he has been ignored so far. He is a large dog with a wonderful nature. A quiet water with a crazy aura. With eyes full of wisdom that have surely seen a lot. Calm, reserved, touchable, and friendly. Can be tested with cats. FLYNN is often allowed to run freely in the large group on the premises because he is absolutely compatible. He communicates with the other dogs but stays out of all the stress, is often happy to be alone, and one gets the feeling that he thinks. Maybe about why YOU haven’t called yet??? Does he not have a chance at a home? For FLYNN, we are looking for a home without too much hustle and bustle and with a garden, because he simply loves being outside. We have promised him that we are now his voice and will carry him into the world. FLYNN will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and will travel with a Snap test and EU Pass. He will be rehomed with V. All our dogs come to 91278 Pottenstein and would also like to be picked up here. Contact: or on fb All our dogs travel with official Trace papers and of course, we also have Paragraph 11. This animal can be anxious in unfamiliar situations.

About Flynn (m)

What life with Flynn (m) looks like

Flynn (m) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flynn (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flynn (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flynn (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flynn (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flynn (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flynn (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flynn (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
