adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! When you see his fluffy black plush ears from a distance, you know: This is our Flynn. Flynn is currently about 5 months old, around 50 cm tall, and is expected to grow to a medium size. In Romania, he was found with his siblings Posy, Phillip, Colin, and Simon as a small litter of puppies. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for dogs to be abandoned and left to fend for themselves there. Thankfully, the litter was discovered in time, allowing these little ones to begin a new chapter. Recently, Flynn has been living in a foster home and is gathering his first experiences in family life. His first play attempts are particularly cute: He cautiously tries out what can be done with his plush toy, rolling excitedly back and forth on his back, taking the toy in his mouth now and then, and commenting with little barking sounds. With his fluffy black fur, white chest, and large curious eyes, Flynn is simply irresistible. Due to his appearance, we cannot rule out the possibility of being a pointer. Character-wise, Flynn currently shows a slight caution towards new situations. At the same time, he is an incredibly lovable and gentle little guy. He enjoys the closeness to humans very much, and cuddle sessions are definitely among his favorite activities. Once he has built trust, he shows his loving, cheerful side more and more. The stress-free time in the shelter shows how willing to learn and open he actually is: After just one week in his foster home, the little man can already "sit." For Flynn, we wish for patient and loving people who will allow him to come at his own pace and show him the world with patience, understanding, and empathy. A stable and safe environment, positive reinforcement, and attending a positively working dog training class would help him step by step to become braver and build trust. Of course, like every young puppy, Flynn still has some mischief in his head and will be in the middle of his development. The exciting time of puberty should be lovingly accompanied and mastered together with him. For that, you get a loyal, gentle, and very special companion with Flynn. Flynn will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and will move into his new home with an EU pet passport. For an adoption fee, he can move in. Many thanks to the -Community! You have given Flynn his name! As of: 24.05.

Stand: 24.05.2026

About Flynn

What life with Flynn looks like

Flynn is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flynn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flynn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flynn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flynn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flynn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flynn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flynn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
