Fonos ♥️ 💔 If there were a category in our animal shelter for dogs with the least chance of adoption, Fonos would certainly belong to it. He is an older dog with an emotional baggage from previous experiences. He is not the type of dog that happily runs to greet every person. He is also not a dog that will allow a person to do anything with him. We don't know exactly what happened to him in the past, but we know the condition he arrived in - emaciated, hopeless, and fearful of people. He was afraid of touch, didn't trust, and reacted defensively. However, this is all in the past. After a long time spent in the animal shelter and thanks to the patient work of the caretakers, Fonos managed to rebuild his trust. He learned to enjoy walks and calm contact with humans. He is still a reserved dog - he doesn't like to be surrounded or overwhelmed with emotions. His affection is shown subtly: a gentle wag of the tail, looking back at the caregiver during a walk, or moving closer when the petting stops. Despite being 12 years old, Fonos is still quite a lively old man, and walks are a huge joy for him and his favorite escape from the reality of the shelter. We are looking for a quiet home where he can spend the autumn of his life with dignity. A home that understands and accepts him as he is - without expectations, without pressure. Fonos can live with other calm dogs after prior introduction. He doesn't need much.

Fonos ♥️ 💔 Gdyby w naszym schronisku istniała kategoria „psy z najmniejszymi szansami na adopcję”, Fonos z pewnością by do niej należał. To starszy pies z bagażem emocjonalnym wyniesionym z wcześniejszych doświadczeń. Nie jest typem przytulaka, który radośnie biegnie na powitanie każdego człowieka. Nie jest też psem, który pozwoli człowiekowi zrobić ze sobą wszystko. Nie wiemy, co dokładnie spotkało go w przeszłości, ale wiemy, w jakim stanie do nas trafił – wychudzony, pozbawiony nadziei i z lękiem wobec ludzi. Bał się dotyku, nie ufał, reagował defensywnie. To jednak już przeszłość. Po długim czasie spędzonym w schronisku i dzięki cierpliwej pracy opiekunów Fonos zdołał odbudować zaufanie. Nauczył się czerpać przyjemność ze spacerów i ze spokojnego kontaktu z człowiekiem. Nadal pozostaje psem powściągliwym – nie lubi być osaczany ani zalewany nadmiarem emocji. Swoje przywiązanie okazuje w subtelny sposób: delikatnym merdaniem ogona, oglądaniem się na opiekuna podczas spaceru czy przysuwaniem się bliżej, gdy głaskanie ustaje. Mimo 12 lat na karku Fonos wciąż jest dość żwawym dziaduniem, a spacery są dla niego ogromną radością i ulubioną odskocznią od schroniskowej rzeczywistości. Szukamy dla niego spokojnego domu, w którym mógłby godnie przeżyć jesień swojego życia. Domu, który go zrozumie i zaakceptuje takim, jakim jest – bez oczekiwań, bez presji. Fonos może zamieszkać z innymi spokojnymi psami po wcześniejszym zapoznaniu. Nie potrzebuje wiele.
