Forest, female Mixed Breed for adoption at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary

About Forest

ForestMale3 1/2 YearsGSDReason for surrender- owner ill health.Forest was initially a sanctuary dog but sadly returned just recently after a few years with his owner.Forest is a super friendly boy, almost too eager to say hello to everyone. However he is of a course a GSD and will let you know if someone is around you home. Forest will need an owner who is prepared to commit time and patience to training, his jumping up can be an issue and is certainly putting prospective adopters off. Of course this could be trained using positive reinforcement so an understanding of this will be essential. Forest will likely need some work on house training.Breed knowledge and experience will be beneficial to your application.Forest has lived with both male and female dogs before. We believe he could do so again pending successful meet and greets. Forest could not live with cats. Forest could live with older children aged 13 + years who have a sensible approach to dogs.We will contact you if we are moving forward with your application.AN APPLICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED TO BE CONSIDEREDWe are open Wednesdays and Saturdays from .If you are interested in offering this dog a home and you meet the criteria listed, then please click on the following link to complete an online application or visit us during the above days and times. If you are being considered, we will be in touch to arrange an appointment for you to meet the dog and start the rehoming process. All parts of the form must be completed to ensure your application can be processedIf you are being considered to commence the adoption process you will receive a call from a number ending in 081 or 993; due to time constraints there will be a limited timescale to answer or respond to our message.
