Adopt Forget-Me-Not

Beagle · Female · Young · 2 years

11-05-26 Forget-Me-Not is a shy and timid young girl who has come to us from a breeder in search of her forever home. She looks to her kennel friends for comfort and support, so she will need a kind and confident resident dog in her new home who can help guide her as she learns about home life and begins to come out of her shell. Although she is nervous at first, the personality she has started to show us suggests that, in time, she will really enjoy an active home that can offer her plenty of quiet adventures once she gains confidence and masters lead training. As Forget-Me-Not has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she learns all the basics, including house training and how to walk on a lead. She could share her home with dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. With time, reassurance, and love, she is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. Forget-Me-Not has so much love to give and truly deserves the chance to finally come out of her shell and enjoy the happy life she has always deserved. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Forget-Me-Not

What life with Forget-Me-Not looks like

Forget-Me-Not is a young adult beagle dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Forget-Me-Not, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Forget-Me-Not?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Forget-Me-Not on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Forget-Me-Not if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Forget-Me-Not already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Forget-Me-Not isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Forget-Me-Not and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
