Franca’s story began at the foot of the Piramida Sunča in Visoko, Bosnia. A woman from the Netherlands was staying nearby on holiday when a tiny black puppy suddenly appeared outside her holiday home. Nobody seemed to know where the puppy had come from. There was no owner looking for him, and none of the neighbours recognised him. With only two days left before she had to fly home, she contacted Hope and asked if we could take the little puppy into our care. But when we arrived to collect him, we discovered something we definitely weren’t expecting.
