Francesco

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Male Francesco - a cuddly bear in search of a home Francesco was born in February 2026 and lives with Gina II and Ginetta in a enclosure at LIDA on Sardinia. The beautiful male is a particularly people-oriented and cuddly young dog. Due to his very dense, woolly coat, he appears slightly more robust than he actually is. His coat resembles that of a sheep and shows itself in various warm shades of brown. This makes Francesco not only visually a real eye-catcher. In his nature, Francesco is a bit more laid-back than Gina II and Ginetta and is more at ease with himself. At the same time, he immediately seeks the proximity of humans. He would love to be right there and be stroked and cuddled extensively. Francesco is very friendly, approachable and lets himself be touched everywhere - even on the ears and teeth. When cuddling, he also likes to show his belly. A little mischief is also part of his lovable nature. We wish for Francesco people who want a gentle, people-oriented cuddly bear by their side and give him a permanent home with love, patience and security. We see him more in a rural area with a large garden. As soon as Francesco is allowed to travel to Germany, he can be visited at one of our foster homes. If you are interested in Francesco, please click on "Inquire now" and fill out the placement form. If you live in the Rhine-Main area, you can also take Francesco in as a foster dog first. Many more dogs are looking for a home... Mia San finally wants a quiet bed for herself. Maya finally wants her own home. Oscar is friendly and open to people as well as other dogs. Milly has been waiting for her people for so long.

Der wunderschöne Rüde ist ein besonders menschenbezogener und verschmuster junger Hund. Durch sein sehr dichtes, wolliges Fell wirkt er etwas kräftiger, als er tatsächlich ist. Sein Fell erinnert an das eines Schafes und zeigt sich in verschiedenen warmen Brauntönen. Dadurch ist Francesco nicht nur äußerlich ein echter Hingucker. Im Wesen ist Francesco etwas gemütlicher als Gina II und Ginetta und ruht mehr in sich. Gleichzeitig sucht er sofort die Nähe des Menschen. Am liebsten möchte er ganz nah dabei sein und ausgiebig gestreichelt und beschmust werden. Francesco ist sehr freundlich, zugänglich und lässt sich überall anfassen – auch an den Ohren und an den Zähnen. Beim Kuscheln zeigt auch er gerne seinen Bauch. Ein kleiner Schalk gehört selbstverständlich ebenfalls zu seinem liebenswerten Wesen. Für Francesco wünschen wir uns Menschen, die einen sanften, menschenbezogenen Kuschelbären an ihrer Seite haben möchten und ihm mit Liebe, Geduld und Sicherheit ein dauerhaftes Zuhause schenken. Wir sehen ihn eher in einer ländlichen Gegend mit einem großen Garten. Sobald Francesco nach Deutschland ausreisen darf, kann er auf einer unserer Pflegestellen besucht werden. Wenn sie sich für Francesco interessieren, klicken Sie bitte auf „Jetzt anfragen“ und füllen das Vermittlungsformular aus. Wenn Sie im Rhein-Main Gebiet wohnen, können Sie Francesco auch erst als Pflegehund bei sich aufnehmen. Noch mehr Hunde suchen ein Zuhause... Milly wartet schon so lange auf ihre Menschen. Maya möchte endlich ihr eigenes Zuhause haben. Oscar ist nicht nur Menschen, sondern auch anderen Hunden gegenüber freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Mia San möchte endlich ein ruhiges Körbchen für sich. jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $('-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c').owlCarousel({ itemClass: "tailwag-carousel-item", onTranslated: tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c, // breakpoint from 0 up // breakpoint from 768 up // breakpoint from 1025 up function tailwagDisplayPrevNav91a277c(){ $("-studios-carousel-elementor-91a277c").addClass("tailwag-carousel-left-arrow-on"); }

About Francesco

What life with Francesco looks like

Francesco is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. in Bad Vilbel.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Francesco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Francesco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Francesco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Francesco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Francesco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Francesco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Hunde in Not Rhein-Main e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Francesco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
