Franco’s story began in Visoko, Bosnia, at the foot of the Piramida Sunča. A woman visiting from the Netherlands was staying in a holiday house nearby when a tiny black puppy appeared outside. Nobody knew where he had come from. There was no owner looking for him, and none of the neighbours recognised him. With only two days remaining before she had to fly home, she contacted Hope and asked if we could take the little puppy into our care.
