Adopt Frania

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Frania grew up on the street, where she had to fight for survival. Lack of food, no contact with people, and a life filled with constant fear made it very difficult for her to trust humans today. When the volunteer tried to tame the whole group with treats, most of the dogs eventually became convinced, but Frania was the only one who never gave in. She is still a feral dog - in the crate, she prefers to hide in the corner and avoid contact with people. On walks, she is still very cautious and nervous - she bites the leash and tries to escape when someone approaches. She needs an exceptionally patient caregiver who will understand her fear and give her time to learn to trust. Frania is the smallest in the group and the weakest, but precisely because of that, she needs a home the most. A patient caregiver and help from a behaviorist can change her life, giving her a chance for peace, safety, and learning to trust humans. Frania was born in 2023. She is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is currently in Radom. Transport at own expense.

Przebywa w Radomiu.Transport we własnym zakresie. Kontakt tylko telefonicznyOla 533 564 074Klaudia 609 530 953

About Frania

What life with Frania looks like

Frania is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frania, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frania?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frania on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frania if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frania already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frania isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frania and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
