Frankie

Pomeranian Β· Male Β· Young Β· 3 years

Beautiful boy Frankie is looking for his forever home. Frankie is super friendly and loves attention and company. He likes nothing more than playing with a ball. He is ok around children but not had much experience with young ones. We feel he would need to be rehomed into an adult only home, or one with older children. The main thing is for him to be somewhere where he is the centre of attention. Frankie does not mind travelling in the car and enjoys going on adventures. He is fairly active and enjoys his walks, he is good on his lead although he has no recall. He also enjoys playing fetch with his ball so he would love a secure garden where he had the space to run around. Frankie has lived with a dog before and he could potentially live with another dog after a successful introduction. He is not cat tested. Frankie is not house trained and will often pee in the house. This is fairly constant and not something that has been able to get under control. This is an issue that has to be seriously considered when applying. He is also a bit of a barker so may suit a more rural setting and with someone who isnt going to leave him for long periods of time. If you feel you have time and dedication to help Frankie reach his full potential please contact the office directly on or click on β€œRequest to adopt Frankie now”.

About Frankie

What life with Frankie looks like

Frankie is a small young adult pomeranian dog waiting at DAWGS.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frankie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frankie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. DAWGS handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frankie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frankie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” DAWGS will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Frankie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frankie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with DAWGS early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frankie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
