Fredi

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Fredi has found his people! His story: Sweetest of all. Meet these 4 puppy siblings. Fredi, Elena, Milky, and Valea. The little dog family was found by Maria with their mother, Aurelia, by a private animal rescuer and brought home. Unfortunately, they couldn't be housed together, so they are currently living in a hut in the garden. Maria of course does everything she can to keep them warm, but the winter is cold, and time is pressing to find a family for all of them. Their mother could be a Chihuahua-Dackel mix. She is only 35 cm tall, so we assume her puppies will also be relatively small. In their nature, however, they are united: incredibly loving, curious, playful, and cuddly. With their age-appropriate behavior and their joy in discovering new things, they are ideal companions for families, couples, or singles. For the mischievous Fredi, we are looking for people who can give him the time, patience, and love he needs. In the first months, a puppy needs a lot of training, support, and attention. Valea's new owners should be ready to teach her the dog ABC and actively support her in her development. Many small and big adventures are waiting to be shared. A visit to a good dog training class could not only enrich their daily life but also provide important orientation during the upcoming puberty phase. Our Fredi is simply the most adorable and with his carefree, open nature, he puts a smile on everyone's face. The approximately 2.5-month-old puppy likes to play with his sister, Valea, the most. At the moment, he weighs about 3 kg. Regular walks that challenge him both physically and mentally, as well as plenty of play and cuddle time, should be an essential part of his daily routine to make him a happy and balanced dog. Despite his small size and young age, he gets along well with other dogs and will surely also be happy with feisty playmates in his new home. He has already met cats. due to its age restrictions, he is still not neutered. Who can imagine becoming the new favorite person in Fredi's life? Many thanks to Ines J. You gave Fredi a name. As of 28.12. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 28.12.2024

About Fredi

What life with Fredi looks like

Fredi is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fredi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fredi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fredi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fredi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fredi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fredi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fredi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
