Frenchie

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten

* Available on Fri 19th and Sat 20th June * Hi everyone I'm fabulous Frenchie Here are some words about me from my foster pawents "Frenchie, our big boy is a bundle of joy, he is very loving, playful and sweet natured. He greets us at the door to say hello and loves being made a fuss of. He loves to be stroked and flumps on the floor tummy up ready for a tickle! Frenchie's purr is super loud and soothing. He is a confident boy who loves to explore his surroundings. Watching him play is entertaining, he has started to chirrup and trill. He loves tunnels, wand toys and any ball! He is also very kind and caring and looks after his litter mates who are much littler than him! I can easily imagine him being a lap cat and he has started to sit on our knees but then runs off to play. He will make a super cat companion for anyone. ❤️" If you think I'm the boy for you please click "Apply Here" and fill in an application form I can't wait to meet you xxx

About Frenchie

What life with Frenchie looks like

Frenchie is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frenchie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frenchie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frenchie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frenchie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frenchie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frenchie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frenchie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
