FRIDA

British Shorthair · Female · Adult · 4 years

The two British Shorthair Mix cats, FRIDA and Pablo, were born on 01.05.2022 and came to us together as their previous owners were overwhelmed with their care. FRIDA and Pablo are a charming cat pair who would like to move into a new home together. At first, they are a bit shy and need some time to build trust. Once they settle in, they become very friendly, people-oriented, and affectionate. They enjoy the company of their trusted people and like to spend time with them. Both are lively, playful, and curious. They enjoy each other's company and look forward to varied playtime. FRIDA and Pablo are suitable for families with children, provided they are respectful towards cats. They get along with fellow animals and might also be able to live with calm dogs. It is not known how they react to small animals. For FRIDA and Pablo, a suitable apartment living situation with a balcony would be ideal. It is important that the balcony is fully and securely enclosed. A free roam would only be possible in a very rural area without significant traffic or in a secured form. This cat needs outdoor access.

-0Fax: 089/90 73 20E-Mail

About FRIDA

What life with FRIDA looks like

FRIDA is a adult british shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting FRIDA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FRIDA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein München handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FRIDA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FRIDA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein München will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FRIDA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FRIDA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein München early rather than rehoming privately; they know FRIDA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
