Frisón

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Frisón – a little charmer on four wobbly paws Five little puppies who were originally unwanted but now have a great chance at life. Frisón belongs to this special litter that came about from an unplanned encounter between two dogs. No one wanted the responsibility, but luckily, a woman who wouldn’t look away organized help. Today, Frisón is a happy little puppy, discovering the world with big eyes. His daily routine? Playing with siblings, curiously exploring everything, taking a nap in between, and then starting all over again. He’s alert, playful, and full of life. Frisón brings everything a little heartbreaker needs: charm, curiosity, and a healthy dose of mischief. He’s looking for people who will lovingly explain the world to him, give him time to grow, and still laugh when a shoe gets “redecorated.” Frisón is just at the beginning of his life and wants to discover the world step by step. Everything is new to him: sounds, smells, people, and all the little things that are second nature to us. But that’s also where his magic lies: with every new experience, he grows a little more and develops into a wonderful companion. Of course, Frisón still has a lot to learn. House training, the little puppy ABC, and walking on a leash all belong to it just as much as understanding the rules of everyday life. But he’s smart, attentive, and wants to please – so he’s got the best prerequisites to grow together with his people into a great team. A typical puppy, Frisón also brings a good portion of chaos. Sometimes something gets nibbled, and a toy ends up in an unexpected place, but all of this is part of it and makes living with him so lively and special. With patience, loving consistency, and a dash of humor, he will quickly become a loyal companion. Frisón wishes for a home that gives him security and accepts him as he is. People who accompany him, foster, and show him that he is permanently home. If you are now smitten with our charmer and ready to go through thick and thin with him, then contact our matchmaker. This is a young, adolescent dog.

DE·Show original

About Frisón

What life with Frisón looks like

Frisón is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Frisón, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frisón?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frisón on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frisón if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frisón already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frisón isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frisón and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
