adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The small male dog was left on his own a few months ago and wandered alone through the streets of a city near Bistrita, where he lived for a long time in insecurity and fear. Our foster home has been working hard to secure him, and only a few days ago it was finally successful. Now he is in safety and can experience warmth and security for the first time. The approximately 3.5-year-old male dog, with his 15 cm shoulder height, 25 cm body length, and around 6 kg, touches people's hearts with his cautious gaze and delicate nature. At first, he shows himself shy and prefers to observe from a distance, but slowly he begins to trust and seeks the proximity cautiously. Characteristically, he is a very lovable, sensitive, and quiet dog. He is certainly not aggressive but shows friendliness and gentleness. He has already built a close bond with his foster mom and greatly enjoys her company. He gets along well with other dogs and also with cats – this has already been tested. He still needs to get used to everyday life living with people. Many things are still unfamiliar to him, and he needs time to gain security and build trust. With patience, empathy, and loving consistency, he will learn step by step to find his way in his new life. For him, we wish a quiet and loving home with people who appreciate his sensitive nature and give him the time to settle in at his own pace. Positive working dog training classes can help give him security and strengthen the bond. He is a very special little dog who captivates with his gentle and cautious nature. He is ready to give his heart and become a faithful companion. He travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to his new home. Who will give this little treasure a safe home finally? 🐾💛 Thank you to Sandra, who gave Fritzi his name! Date: 23.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Fritzi

What life with Fritzi looks like

Fritzi is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fritzi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fritzi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fritzi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fritzi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fritzi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fritzi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fritzi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
