🐾 The mixed-breed female dog Mia, born in March 2021, arrived at our animal shelter in Lustadt in summer 2024 and is still searching for a suitable home with active and experienced people. The approximately 4-year-old female dog weighs around 13 kg and is very intelligent, athletic, and at the same time a cuddly companion. Mia gets along well with fellow animals, with larger dogs she prefers them over smaller ones. She can be a bit cautious around strangers, but with her trusted people, she is very people-oriented and clingy. Mia likes to work together with her person and wants to be both physically and mentally challenged. She already knows basic commands, and her lead training works well. In the home, she can – with clear structures – rest very nicely. However, she will still need training, especially in dog interactions and new situations. In the new home, Mia should receive adequate mental stimulation, preferably through dog sports and head work. Her new people should be patient, consistent, and physically active. Children in the household should ideally be older (at least 14 years). 🐾 Die Mischlingshündin Mia, geboren im März 2021, kam im Sommer 2024 auf unsere Tierauffangstation in Lustadt und sucht immer noch ein passendes Zuhause bei aktiven und erfahrenen Menschen. Die etwa 4-jährige Hündin wiegt rund 13 kg und ist sehr intelligent, sportlich und gleichzeitig eine verschmuste Begleiterin. Mit Artgenossen ist Mia nach Sympathie verträglich, dabei sind ihr größere Hunde bisher lieber als kleine. Fremden Menschen gegenüber ist sie anfangs manchmal etwas vorsichtig, bei ihren Bezugspersonen zeigt sie sich jedoch sehr menschenbezogen und anhänglich. Mia arbeitet gerne mit ihrem Menschen zusammen und möchte sowohl körperlich als auch geistig ausgelastet werden. Grundkommandos kennt sie bereits, die Leinenführigkeit klappt gut und in der Wohnung kann sie – bei klaren Strukturen – sehr schön zur Ruhe kommen. Trotzdem wird sie weiterhin Training brauchen, vor allem bei Hundebegegnungen und in neuen Situationen. Im neuen Zuhause sollte Mia ausreichend Beschäftigung bekommen, gerne auch durch Hundesport und Kopfarbeit. Ihre neuen Menschen sollten geduldig, konsequent und sportlich aktiv sein. Kinder im Haushalt sollten nach Möglichkeit schon älter sein (ab etwa 14 Jahren).
