Fundkater Fürst Wolfram

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

Foundling Tomcat Prince Wolfram EKH, male/neutered, born before 2016, Foundling TomcatWith a large tumor on his hind paw, the emaciated, unneutered, nameless tomcat was brought to us. The scratches and scars on his face and ears tell a long story about his life, which was certainly not always easy. A dignified name was needed, because the caregivers knew right away that this was a fighter: Prince Wolfram showed himself friendly to all strangers from the start and enjoyed every form of attention with loud purring and head bumps. After he could recover and gain weight a bit, our Prince was freed from the tumor and made fit for his future life. He has now gained weight, all wounds have healed, and Wolfram was allowed to move into one of our cat rooms. Here he has two older roommates, with whom he gets along well, but he is not really interested in further interactions with them.Humans are Prince Wolfram's absolute highlight of the day, closely followed by food and sunbathing. He would certainly like to use the opportunity to walk outside in a traffic-calmed zone in the future, before he can snuggle up to his humans on the couch in the evening. Other quiet cats would not be a problem for him, but not a condition - as long as his humans have plenty of time for him.Inquiry Form CatsPlease activate JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Please activate JavaScript in your browser to complete this form.Name *First NameLast NameShort textEmail *Phone number * Name Message or Comment or MessageSubmit

About Fundkater Fürst Wolfram

What life with Fundkater Fürst Wolfram looks like

Fundkater Fürst Wolfram is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Lauterbach in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fundkater Fürst Wolfram, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fundkater Fürst Wolfram?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Lauterbach handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fundkater Fürst Wolfram on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fundkater Fürst Wolfram if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Lauterbach will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fundkater Fürst Wolfram already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fundkater Fürst Wolfram isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Lauterbach early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fundkater Fürst Wolfram and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
