Igor, a male EKH (European Shorthair) cat, was found by a kind-hearted woman who contacted us due to his overall appearance. The sturdy cat appeared bloated and had difficulty opening his inflamed eyes. Despite his imposing, typical "street cat" look, he quickly showed himself to be a total softie. Igor loves being the center of attention and showered with affection. From day one, he wanted to be stroked around the clock, and it didn't matter who was doing it, as long as it was human affection. After being treated with medication, Igor underwent surgery for his entropion. He has recovered well; even with his big, round eyes, he can't help but steal the hearts of the two-legged ones. Igor gets along with his fellow cats, but he doesn't often seek their attention. Two young housemates try to play with him, but he rarely joins in. He prefers to lie on the balcony and sunbathe or distract the caregivers from their work. We are confident that Igor will want to sniff fresh air and go on his wanderings in a quiet traffic zone in the future; he probably won't mind having calm fellow cats in his home. Fundkater Igor EKH, männlich/kastriert, geboren ca. 2023, FundkaterIgor tauchte von heute auf morgen bei einer tierlieben Dame auf, die uns aufgrund seines allgemeinen Erscheinungsbildes direkt kontaktierte. Der stattliche Kater wirkte aufgedunsen und konnte seine entzündeten Augen kaum öffnen. Trotz seiner imposanten, typischen „Straßenkater-Optik“ zeigte er aber sehr schnell, dass er ein absoluter Softie ist.Igor liebt es im Mittelpunkt zu stehen und mit Liebe überschüttet zu werden. Vom ersten Tag an wollte er rund um die Uhr gestreichelt werden, von wem war und ist egal, hauptsache menschliche Zuneigung.Nachdem Igor medikamentös behandelt wurde, stand seine Rolllid-OP an. Diese hat er sehr gut überstanden; mit großen Kulleraugen kann er auch nach der OP nicht dienen, aber das hält unseren Charmebolzen nicht davon ab, den Zweibeinern die Herzen zu stehlen.Mit seinen Artgenossen versteht sich der Rottiger weitestgehend, er sucht keinen Streit, aber auch nur selten die Aufmerksamkeit bei anderen Katzen. Zwei auserwählte junge Mitbewohner versuchen ihn gerne mal zum Spielen zu animieren, doch Igor lässt sich nur selten darauf ein. Lieber liegt er am Balkon und sonnt sich oder versucht die Pfleger von der Arbeit abzulenken.Wir sind uns sicher, dass Igor in Zukunft wieder in einer ruhigen Verkehrszone Frischluft schnuppern und seinen Streifzügen nachgehen möchte; gegen ruhige Artgenossen in seinem Zuhause hat er sicher auch nichts einzuwenden.
