Furia

Female · Young · 2 years

Furii is everywhere! She is a young, small female dog full of youthful energy, curiosity, and joy for life. She is extremely sociable - as soon as she sees a human, she must approach, greet, and check if we have come for her. 🥹 When someone approaches her enclosure, Furia spins around in excitement. It's hard not to smile at her. She is a cheerful, outgoing, and charming girl. She also gets along with other dogs, which makes her a perfect dog in many ways. Such dogs usually find homes almost immediately. Unfortunately, it may be a bit more difficult in Furia's case... Furia has epilepsy. She had her first seizure immediately after arriving at the shelter. She is currently taking medication and the situation is well controlled - in the last two months, the attack has only occurred once. It lasted only a few seconds and subsided after administering the medication. Epilepsy does not have to mean the end of dreams about a home of her own. Furia is still the same joyful, curious, and human-hungry dog. She can be a wonderful companion and enjoy life with her human for many years. She only needs a caregiver who, instead of being scared by the diagnosis, wants to get to know her and give her a chance. After submitting an adoption application, you will have the opportunity to talk to a veterinarian who will explain exactly what Furia's treatment is, what to expect, and what caring for a dog with epilepsy entails.

PL·Show original

Furii wszędzie jest pełno! To młoda, niewielka suczka, w której drzemie ogrom młodzieńczej energii, ciekawości i radości z życia. To wesoła, kontaktowa i pełna uroku dziewczyna.

About Furia

What life with Furia looks like

Furia is a small young adult dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu in Poznan.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Furia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Furia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Furia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Furia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Furia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Furia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Poznaniu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Furia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
