German Shepherd · Male · Senior · 15 years

FURIOUS is a magnificent 15 and a half-year-old German Shepherd who recently arrived from a pound, and whose past remains unfortunately unknown. Despite his advanced age, FURIOUS is an absolutely adorable dog with humans. He is gentle, charming, and in search of presence and kindness. He will be able to live with respectful children who can understand his need for calm and give him the space necessary for his well-being. His interactions with other dogs and cats are not yet known. A placement with a fellow animal of the same species may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Given his age, FURIOUS will need a peaceful environment. A home with access to an outdoor space is strongly recommended to offer him comfort and freedom every day. FURIOUS deserves a retirement filled with love and tenderness. He is waiting for a family ready to offer him a beautiful end of life.

Furious mérite une retraite remplie d’amour et de douceur. Il n’attend plus qu’une famille prête à lui offrir une belle fin de vie.

About FURIOUS

What life with FURIOUS looks like

FURIOUS is a senior german shepherd dog waiting at SPA Gennevilliers (Grammont) in Gennevilliers.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting FURIOUS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FURIOUS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Gennevilliers (Grammont) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FURIOUS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FURIOUS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Gennevilliers (Grammont) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FURIOUS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FURIOUS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Gennevilliers (Grammont) early rather than rehoming privately; they know FURIOUS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
