Fusilli – a young cat with a big heart and even bigger caution The approximately 10-month-old Fusilli came to us at the animal shelter with five other cats through a friendly association. The group originated from an animal hoarding case and likely had little or no close contact with people in their previous lives. Accordingly, all six cats are still very shy and reserved. Fusilli also needs a lot of space from people. Especially when trying to grab or touch her, she currently reacts with panic. For her, proximity is still something scary at the moment. Therefore, we are looking for people for Fusilli who respect her boundaries, do not expect anything from her, and give her the time she needs to slowly build trust. Patience, calmness, and understanding are the keys here. In contrast, Fusilli shows a different side with her cat friends. In the group, she feels much safer, seeks the proximity of other cats, and likes to snuggle together in the cozy caves. She should either move out with one of her familiar cat friends or to a already existing, friendly, and social cat. For Fusilli, we wish for a quiet home without much hustle and bustle, where she is allowed to come at her own pace. Because she is still so young, the chances are good that she will become braver with the right environment and a lot of patience. Since Fusilli is very anxious and is not familiar with life outside, we can only place her in a suitable apartment living environment, preferably with a secured balcony, so she can enjoy fresh air and sunlight safely. Fusilli – junge Katze mit großem Herz und noch größerer Vorsicht Die etwa 10 Monate alte Fusilli kam gemeinsam mit fünf weiteren Katzen über einen befreundeten Verein zu uns ins Tierheim. Die Gruppe stammt aus einem Animal-Hoarding-Fall und hat vermutlich in ihrem bisherigen Leben kaum oder gar keinen engen Kontakt zu Menschen kennenlernen dürfen. Entsprechend sind alle sechs Katzen noch sehr schüchtern und zurückhaltend. Auch Fusilli braucht noch viel Abstand zum Menschen. Besonders wenn man versucht, nach ihr zu greifen oder sie anzufassen, reagiert sie aktuell noch panisch. Für sie ist Nähe im Moment einfach noch etwas Unheimliches. Deshalb suchen wir für Fusilli Menschen, die ihre Grenzen respektieren, nichts von ihr erwarten und ihr die Zeit geben, die sie braucht, um langsam Vertrauen aufzubauen. Geduld, Ruhe und Verständnis sind hier der Schlüssel. Mit ihren Katzenfreunden zeigt Fusilli hingegen eine ganz andere Seite. In der Gruppe fühlt sie sich deutlich sicherer, sucht die Nähe der anderen Katzen und kuschelt sich gerne gemeinsam mit ihnen in die Kuschelhöhlen. Sie sollte entweder mit einer ihrer vertrauten Katzenfreundinnen ausziehen oder zu einer bereits vorhandenen, freundlichen und sozialen Katze ziehen. Für Fusilli wünschen wir uns ein ruhiges Zuhause ohne viel Trubel, in dem man ihr erlaubt, in ihrem eigenen Tempo anzukommen. Gerade weil sie noch so jung ist, stehen die Chancen gut, dass sie mit der richtigen Umgebung und viel Geduld immer mutiger wird. Da Fusilli sehr ängstlich ist und das Leben draußen nicht kennt, vermitteln wir sie ausschließlich in reine Wohnungshaltung, gerne mit gesichertem Balkon, damit sie sicher frische Luft und Sonnenstrahlen genießen kann.
