adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Fyan has found his home! His story: Fyan is about 1 year old and his life would have been over already, because he was hit by a car and left and severely injured on the street for days. He had great luck in misfortune, as our dedicated staff saved the little heap of misery from the street. The little patient was well cared for and has already undergone surgery in Romania and can now walk well again. He attends physiotherapy regularly with his foster mom and you can hardly tell he ever had an accident. Fyan is super cuddly, clingy, and gets along well with other animals. He is a particularly handsome, young dog. He has short, white fur with brown spots and shiny, black button eyes. His funny floppy ears and his loyal look give Fyan a special charm. The young male dog has a smaller size of about 42 cm and 10 kg and fits into any animal-loving family. His foster home is very enthusiastic about the little guy. He is curious, playful, cuddly, eager to learn, and social with other dogs. Fyan should not be with small animals, as he has a prey drive, but this can be managed well because he always wants to please people and do everything right. On the leash, he does great. He already does well with dog sports, knows restaurant visits, and loves nature walks. Fyan is a dream dog: clever, eager to learn, and super open. He enjoys car rides, stays well alone, and is absolutely house-trained. He is a super playful dog and also suitable for beginners. After a positive adoption, Fyan and his story touched your heart and you would like to give him a new chance and meet him? Then contact us! We thank the namingsponsor Julia H. for giving Fyan his beautiful name. Date: 05.03. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 05.03.2025

About Fyan

What life with Fyan looks like

Fyan is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fyan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fyan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fyan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fyan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fyan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fyan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fyan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
