Did you know that podencos are considered one of the most noble, loyal and sensitive dogs in the world? Despite her tiny size, Galleta has a heart bigger than you can imagine. Podencos are pure love: they are incredibly clean, fun and have a resilience capacity that leaves us speechless. Galleta is the perfect example of this. At just two years old, she has already known the worst side of human beings: loneliness, mistreatment and absolute indifference. To make matters worse, her babies were taken away from her as soon as they were born. When she arrived at Protectora Aloia, fear paralyzed her. She didn't know what a caress was; in fact, she would shrink thinking that someone was going to hurt her. It broke our hearts to see her like that. But love heals everything... And look at her now! Today there is almost nothing left of the fearful dog. Galleta has been reborn! She is super happy playing with the other dogs in the shelter. She loves walking, sniffing and discovering the world. Now she enjoys every show of affection from our volunteers. Galleta has left her past behind and is ready to write her true future. She deserves, once and for all, a real home where she can discover what family means. A place where she feels loved, pampered and protected forever. Give her the opportunity of a lifetime. Los podencos son puro amor: son increíblemente limpios, divertidos y tienen una capacidad de resiliencia que nos deja sin palabras. Galleta es el ejemplo perfecto de ello. A su corta edad —apenas llega a los 2 añitos— ya ha conocido la peor cara del ser humano: la soledad, el maltrato y la indiferencia más absoluta. Por si fuera poco, le arrebataron a sus bebés nada más nacer. Cuando llegó a la Protectora Aloia, el miedo la paralizaba. No sabía lo que era una caricia; de hecho, se encogía pensando que le iban a hacer daño. Nos partía el alma verla así. Pero el amor todo lo cura… ¡Y miradla ahora! Hoy ya casi no queda nada de aquella perra temerosa. ¡Galleta ha renacido! Es superfeliz jugando con el resto de los perros de la prote. Le apasiona pasear, olfatear y descubrir mundo.
