Adopt GAPIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Well. 2017 Weight 22 kg Gmina PARZĘCZEW neutering YES Other dogs YES GAPIK – older, gentle dog who dreams of a quiet home GAPIK is about 9 years old, a dog with a good, sensitive heart. He weighs around 20 kg and is just the right size - not too big, not too small, ideal for a quiet life by a person's side. He came to us from another animal shelter and is still getting used to the new reality, so he can be a bit shy. He is a delicate, calm dog who needs a little time to trust, but there is not even a trace of aggression in him. GAPIK accepts other dogs and feels good in their company, so he can live in a home where there is already a four-legged friend. He can walk on a leash and very much enjoys quiet walks - without rushing, with time to sniff and be close to a person. This is the ideal dog for someone looking for a steady companion, not a whirlwind of energy. GAPIK dreams of a home where he can finally rest, feel safe, and be loved.

Ur. ok. 2017 Waga 22 kg Gmina PARZĘCZEW Kastracja TAK Inne psy TAK Gapik – starszy, łagodny psiak, który marzy o spokojnym domu Gapik to około 9-letni pies o dobrym, wrażliwym sercu.

About GAPIK

What life with GAPIK looks like

GAPIK is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne in 99-423.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting GAPIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GAPIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GAPIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GAPIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is GAPIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GAPIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Sos Psiakowo Centrum Adopcyjne early rather than rehoming privately; they know GAPIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
