The small Gartika, along with another cat, was found in a cardboard box in a forest and brought to our animal shelter. She only slowly gets used to new situations and was very hissing and fearful at the beginning. Over time, she becomes much braver and is quite friendly towards people, but we suspect that she may have been mistreated or experienced something terrible in the past, as she "attacks" out of her insecurity the legs of our caretakers. However, we still believe that she is actually a friendly cat who simply lacks security and trust at the moment. She wants to make contact, but building this trust in the animal shelter is very difficult for her because there are too many influences that do not promote trust-building. This starts with the changing trusted people. Gartika needs a lot of security and a person who is experienced in dealing with difficult cats and does not overwhelm her. Gartika sat in a group of cats with us, but did not feel quite comfortable there. However, we assume that she will get along, as she was found together with another cat. Die kleine Gartika wurde, zusammen mit einer anderen Katze, in einem Karton in einem Wald gefunden und zu uns ins Tierheim gebracht. Sie gewöhnt sich nur sehr langsam an neue Situationen und ist zu Beginn sehr fauchig und ängstlich. Im weiteren Verlauf wird sie sehr viel mutiger und ist dem Menschen durchaus zugewandt, jedoch vermuten wir, dass sie eventuell in der Vergangenheit getreten wurde oder etwas anderes schreckliches erlebt hat, denn sie "greift" aus ihrer Unsicherheit die Beine unserer Pfleger an. Wir nehmen aber dennoch an, dass sie eigentlich eine freundliche Katze ist, der es jedoch im Moment noch an Sicherheit und Vertrauen fehlt. Eigentlich möchte sie ja gerne Kontakt. Dieses Vertrauen im Tierheim aufzubauen fällt ihr jedoch sehr schwer weil es zu viele Einflüsse in einem Tierheim gibt, die nicht fördernd zur Vertrauengewinnung sind. Das beginnt schon bei wechselnden Bezugspersonen. Gartika benötigt viel Sicherheit und eine Person die sich im Umgang mit schwierigen Katzen auskennt und diese nicht überfordert. Gartika saß bei uns in einer Katzengruppe, fühlte sich dort jedoch nicht so richtig wohl. Wir nehmen aber an, dass sie sich eigentlich verträgt, da sie ja auch mit einer anderen Katze zusammen gefunden worden ist. Im Umgang mit anderen Katzen war sie bei uns sehr dominant und hat alle gut in der Spur gehalten.
