George loves to get out and about for a sniffy walk, especially if there’s a stream he can explore, and he travels well in the car. He prefers to sit in the front seat if he’s allowed! He’s fully housetrained (though he may need a few reminders whilst he gets used to his new home) and once he’s settled in, he could be left by himself for 4-6 hours at a time. George isn’t overly interested in playing with toys – he much prefers to spend quality time curled up on the sofa with his favourite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal cuddly companion, George could be the dog for you! This happy chappy is George, our 12 year old Patterdale Terrier! His lifelong dream is to find the perfect napping spot, and he’s wondering if he might find it in your home? George would like to be the only dog in the home, as he can be a little selective about his doggy friends; he’s working on his social skills with other dogs here at the centre by taking calm on-lead walks, and he’d love to continue this with his forever family. George could live with older primary school children, as long as everybody is happy to give him some space when he needs it. He has plenty of energy for an older gentleman and he’s pretty spritely, though ideally his new home wouldn’t have too many stairs! George is such a lovely boy and we’re excited to see him thriving with his forever family.
