Geraldine

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten

***Available to collect from Sunday, 2nd August *** Hi there I am the gorgeous Geraldine. I came to YCR because I was in an accident and fractured my pelvis. I had to have a big operation and have spent some time resting and recovering. The vets thought that I might need more operations but I have recovered really well and now I'm ready to find my forever home. I am a very sweet friendly girl who wants constant attention and I'm very loving. I love to play and can't wait til I can zoom around with my toys now that I'm feeling stronger. Although I'm much better I might always have a bit of a strange walk but I think this just makes me even cuter. I will need to be an indoor only cat though to keep me safe as I only have about 85% mobility due to my injuries. The folks here don't know if I have ever met other cats or dogs but i should be fine with the right introductions. If you can give me the loving home that I deserve please apply here. I can't wait to meet you xxx

About Geraldine

What life with Geraldine looks like

Geraldine is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Geraldine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Geraldine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Geraldine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Geraldine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Geraldine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Geraldine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Geraldine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
