GERNIO

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

Grenio is a charming, small dog weighing just 14 kg. He is around 5 years old (born around 2021), and his petite stature hides a wealth of love waiting to be discovered by someone special. Grenio recently arrived at the shelter and still feels a bit overwhelmed by his new situation. The whole world seems foreign and unknown to him, which is why he is quite shy at first. This caution is merely a defense mechanism - Grenio longs for the warmth of a home and the peace he so desperately misses. With a patient and gentle owner, this little dog will quickly socialize and show his true, cheerful nature. Why give Grenio a chance? Small size: Due to his size, he will fit perfectly even in a small apartment. Sociable: Grenio accepts other dogs, so if you already have a dog at home, this little one will surely find support in it. Potential: Every day with him will be an opportunity to build an extraordinary, deep bond based on trust. Gentleness: This dog is devoid of aggression, he just needs a sense of security to flourish. If you have a heart full of love and understand that friendship is built step by step - Grenio is waiting for you. Give him the home he so deserves.

Grenio to uroczy, niewielki piesek ważący zaledwie 14 kg.

About GERNIO

What life with GERNIO looks like

GERNIO is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Frequently asked

Adopting GERNIO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GERNIO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GERNIO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GERNIO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is GERNIO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GERNIO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know GERNIO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
