The sweet Giulia and the charming Giacomo came to our animal shelter because their previous owners moved back abroad and unfortunately couldn't take them along. Despite Giulia's special leg condition (see "Special Notes"), she handles her daily life brilliantly. She refuses to let her joy of life be diminished and loves playing and cuddling with her caregivers more than anything. When Giacomo first arrived, he found it very difficult to adjust to his new surroundings. At first, he was frightened and wouldn't let anyone get close to him. However, after only a short time, he began to show his loving, cuddly, and playful side. Giacomo still sometimes gets startled by quick or abrupt movements and will run away growling. As soon as he can assess the situation, though, he quickly returns. Giulia and Giacomo have known each other for a long time and thoroughly enjoy each other's company. Often, they lie together or at least stay close to each other. That's why we'd like to place them together in a new home. Since Giacomo tends to become insecure in unfamiliar situations and occasionally displays aggressive behavior, we're looking for a home for both of them that is free of dogs and small children. Older children who are familiar with cats, on the other hand, should not be a problem. So far, Giulia and Giacomo have known nothing but life as indoor cats. However, since both are very active and curious, we'd like to provide them with a home that offers outdoor access in the future. We'd therefore love to find them a rural home with a cat flap—a feature they've already gotten to know here with us.

Die herzige Giulia und der charmante Giacomo kamen zu uns ins Tierheim, weil ihre früheren Halter zurück ins Ausland gezogen sind und die beiden leider nicht mitnehmen konnten. Trotz Giulias besonderer Beinsituation (siehe «Spezielles») meistert sie ihren Alltag hervorragend. Sie lässt sich ihre Lebensfreude nicht nehmen und spielt und schmust für ihr Leben gern mit ihren Bezugspersonen. Als Giacomo zu uns kam, fiel ihm die Umstellung auf die neue Umgebung zunächst sehr schwer. Er war anfangs verängstigt und liess niemanden an sich heran. Schon nach kurzer Zeit zeigte er jedoch seine liebevolle, verschmuste und verspielte Seite. Bei schnellen oder ruckartigen Bewegungen erschrickt Giacomo teilweise noch immer und läuft fauchend davon. Sobald er die Situation jedoch einschätzen kann, kehrt er rasch wieder zurück. Giulia und Giacomo kennen sich schon lange und geniessen die Gesellschaft des jeweils anderen sehr. Oft liegen sie gemeinsam oder zumindest in unmittelbarer Nähe beieinander. Deshalb möchten wir die beiden nur gemeinsam vermitteln. Da Giacomo in ungewohnten Situationen verunsichert reagieren und vereinzelt auch aggressives Verhalten zeigen kann, suchen wir für die beiden ein Zuhause ohne Hunde und ohne kleine Kinder. Ältere, katzenerfahrene Kinder sollten hingegen kein Problem sein. Da beide jedoch sehr aktiv und neugierig sind, möchten wir ihnen künftig ein Zuhause mit Freigang ermöglichen. Wir wünschen uns daher für die beiden, ein ländliches Zuhause mit Katzentörli, dieses haben sie bei uns bereits kennengelernt.
