Gigi

Husky · Female · Adult · 4 years

Gigi is the sweetest wolf-like female dog in our pack. 🐺 Not without reason she got a name inspired by one of the supermodels, because her beauty can't be denied. But besides that, our Gigi also has a typical northern character. ❄️ It shows in selective deafness or jumping on people. In her mind, play is king, she teases, figures things out and has lots of energy. She loves water baths and is always looking for human contact. Gigi charms with beauty but don't let that fool you. Inside Gigi sits a little wild animal. Gigi can bite a person when seeking attention or exhaust other dogs if allowed. 🛑 Gigi will need an active person - both now and in a few years. Unmet needs and excess energy can have destructive side effects. 🔥 For dogs of this breed, we are looking for active, aware and experienced homes with behavioral knowledge. Due to her temperament, we do not recommend Gigi for children. Home without cats and rodents. It will not be a good choice as a first independent dog in life and as a companion for an older, more static dog. We reserve the right to choose the most suitable home for the dog's needs.

PL·Show original

Gigi to najsłodsza wilcza sunia w naszym stadzie. Kocha wodne kąpiele i nad wymiar wszystko kontakt z człowiekiem. Dom bez kotów i gryzoni.Nie będzie dobrym wyborem na pierwszego samodzielnego psa w życiu oraz jako kompanka do starszego, statycznego psa. Zastrzegamy sobie prawo wyboru domu najbardziej dopasowanego do potrzeb psa. Magda 514661352 Daniel 509088498

About Gigi

What life with Gigi looks like

Gigi is a medium-sized adult husky dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: High energy requirements, can be mouthy when seeking attention, may harass other dogs if allowed

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gigi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gigi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gigi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gigi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gigi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gigi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gigi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
