Het verhaal van Gilly: Op veel Griekse eilanden, zoals ook op Lefkas, is het zwerfhonden probleem groot, met name puppy dumping, met of zonder moeder. Gelukkig zijn er altijd zeer bevlogen dierenliefhebbers die zich dagelijks inzetten voor de arme dieren. Sinds ruim vijftien jaar biedt ‘Little Friends Lefkas’ hulp aan dieren in nood. Dit leuke hondje zwierf door een druk dorpje aan de kust. Little Friends Lefkas heeft geprobeerd haar eigenaar te vinden, maar dat is niet gelukt en toen is ze door hen van de straat gehaald en sindsdien woont ze bij Sallie (Little Friends Lefkas) in huis. Daar toonde ze haar leervermogen en liet ze zien hoe snel van begrip ze is. Echt een intelligente dame! Ze is zindelijk, gewend om in een huis te wonen en te slapen in een bench. Ook is ze dol op wandelingen en toont zich vertrouwd met het leven op straat om zich heen. Gilly is nu echt wat je noemt een slimmerdje. Gewoon in alles wat ze doet, zie je dat terug. Het is een sociaal meisje dat geweldig is met mensen, groot en klein, en dieren, honden en katten. Dit mooie dametje heeft een geschatte geboortedatum van 01-06-2025. Ze weegt 11,5 kilo en is 31 cm schouderhoogte. We denken dat ze een kokoni mix is. Gilly wordt gesteriliseerd. Ze heeft een prachtig sprekend koppie. Voor haar zoeken we een liefdevol thuis het liefst met een tuin, veilig omheind, zodat zij heerlijk kan spelen en buiten kan zijn. En waar zij zich voor altijd thuis en veilig voelt. Zij zal natuurlijk hier in Nederland nog wel aan alle nieuwe dingen moeten wennen. Zo zijn de geluiden van druk verkeer van (vracht)auto’s, fatbikes nieuw, net als de deurbel, televisie of bijvoorbeeld een slaande klok. De ontdekkingsreis in ons land vraagt natuurlijk tijd en geduld van de adoptant.
