Ginny is a cross of two very smart breeds, so she really enjoys hard enrichment to keep her brain busy. She loves investigating and sniffing on her walks and once she's confident in a new area, enjoys a good zoomie. When she is off-lead in one of our secure paddocks, she gains confidence from other dogs and will pick up her soft toy and run around with it. As a more worried girl, Ginny finds formal handling very stressful and is learning to wear a muzzle at the vets to keep her safe. It may take some time for Ginny to feel confident around you but one she does she loves a fuss and a cuddle from her favourite people. At the end of a long day of enrichment and play, Ginny loves nothing more than cuddling up in a cosy bed for a nap. This pretty angel, is our 2 year old Collie x Labrador, Ginny! Ginny came into our care as a stray and may never have known the comforts of a home before. For this reason she would prefer to be the only pet in the home for now with patient owners who can help build up her confidence around handling and settling. A quiet home would be ideal for her, with active owners who are able to take her out on lots of fun adventures. Ginny can be wary of new people and will need several meets with her potential adopters in our centre to give her all the time she needs to feel safe. When Ginny is around other dogs, she lights up and her playful side comes out, although she can sometimes become too worried and intense with her play style and is working with her handlers to learn her manners.
