Gizmo

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 3 months

Animal Welfare Advocate: Virginia Georgieva, born approximately May 2026; Gender: Male; Location: Bulgaria; Neutered: No; FIV Test: Negative; FeLV Test: Negative; Disabilities: None; Compatible With: Children: Unknown; Cats: Yes; Dogs: Unknown; Requirements: NO single housing—only apartment living; NO outdoor access; Balcony or terrace desirable (if available, secure fencing is required). At the “Nobody’s Pets” animal shelter, Virginia, there are currently tons of kittens. Almost daily, new little furballs arrive—some found outside, others simply left in boxes at the doorstep. Each of these tiny creatures carries its own unique story, but from now on, they’re all looking forward! They’re lovingly cared for, safe and sound, and can’t wait to soon begin their big adventure with their very own people. One of these sweet-as-sugar little souls is the little Gizmo. These tiny velvet paws are real heartthrobs—and exactly how you’d want young cats to be: lively, full of energy, and incredibly curious about everything. They love spending their days playing, romping around, and exploring together—and when they get tired, they snuggle closely together. They also absolutely adore us humans, are super sweet, and are thrilled by every cuddle and cozy time spent together. Since no kitten should ever grow up alone, we only place our little rascals in pairs or with a suitable buddy of the same age. After all, growing up, playing, and cuddling together is just twice as much fun! If you’ve fallen in love with Gizmo, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Virginia will then see which of the other little ones would make a perfect companion right now, and we’ll introduce you to potential buddies. One thing is certain: With two such little whirlwinds, your home will surely be filled with lots of life, love, and plenty of cuddle time. We look forward to hearing from you!

About Gizmo

What life with Gizmo looks like

Gizmo is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gizmo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gizmo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gizmo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gizmo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gizmo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gizmo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gizmo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
