Glória

Female · Young · 3 years

Details: Name: Glória Age: approx. 2 years (estimated date of birth: 2023. január 1.) Hmm, the source has the date in Hungarian format; I'll preserve it exactly as written. Admitted: 2024. december 10. Sex: female (female dog) Vaccination: yes Microchip: yes Spayed: yes Released: Glória is a 100% people-loving, you could say "blue bull" dog. She may have been born as a designer breed. She suffered from being taken in, but she is very grateful for all the affection and is a true cuddle bug. We would describe her exercise needs as moderate! She is not a large dog, rather medium-sized, approx. 14 kg. She is kind to children, and although we would prefer her as an only dog, we cannot rule out getting to know other dogs either, since she does not cause trouble with other dogs; as far as we know, Dízel was her companion.

About Glória

What life with Glória looks like

Glória is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Méda az Állatokért Kunhegyes in Hungary.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Glória, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Glória?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Méda az Állatokért Kunhegyes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Glória on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Glória if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Méda az Állatokért Kunhegyes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Glória already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Glória isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Méda az Állatokért Kunhegyes early rather than rehoming privately; they know Glória and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically.
