adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Gloria! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Gloria! Gloria has found her home! Her story: Gloria is a female dog who immediately captivates with her gentle, warm presence. In her foster home, the approximately 8.5-year-old female canine shows her best side: loving, cautious, curious, and full of trust. She enjoys every form of affection and loves to snuggle and be with her people in peace. She doesn’t need a lot of excitement – but she does need closeness, security, and a relaxed environment where she can settle in. On walks, Gloria already walks very nicely on the leash and attentively orientates herself to her primary caregiver. Unknown houses or new rooms can sometimes unsettle her, but with gentle guidance, she quickly gains courage. She also masters being left alone for a few hours pleasantly and reliably, making her an uncomplicated companion. Her appearance is just as unique as her nature: a beautiful coat in salt-and-pepper, an elegant, slender figure, and two eyes that you will never forget – one a bright blue, the other warm brown. Her gaze is deep, gentle, and full of gratitude, reflecting exactly what she carries in her heart. For Gloria, we wish for a home that appreciates her gentle, sensitive nature. People who give her security, meet her with patience, and show her what a real home can be. She is a female dog who doesn’t demand much but returns it in abundance: trust, calmness, and a quiet, heartfelt closeness. Gloria is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas and will be after a positive. And perhaps now is the perfect moment to meet her in person – because Gloria is looking forward to your visit and to enchanting you with her special nature. We thank Monika V.! You gave Gloria her name and thus her own identity. As of 05.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 05.12.2025

About Gloria

What life with Gloria looks like

Gloria is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gloria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gloria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gloria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gloria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gloria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gloria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gloria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
