Gloria

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

How hard life on the street is, Gloria had to learn very early on. Unfortunately, we know nothing about her origins or the circumstances of her birth. However, we do know that Gloria became a mother to three puppies at a young age, and since early February 2025, she and her puppies have been in the animal shelter. Gloria was discovered by an animal shelter employee in the neighborhood of her apartment with her small puppies, and the employee improvised a shelter for Gloria, fed her, and regularly vaccinated the puppies. When the puppies were old enough and had basic immunity, they moved into the animal shelter, ensuring their safety and protection. Gloria’s puppies are now in the puppy room, and Gloria was tested for Mediterranean diseases and was also spayed. Since Babesiosis was diagnosed in Gloria, treatment with the medication Doxycyclin was started immediately, which will be completed in 30 days. Gloria is not only a wonderfully beautiful female dog, one can easily get lost in her hazel eyes, but she is also very people-oriented and extremely cuddly. It seems as though she wants to make up for all the love and cuddles she missed during her early days on this planet. It’s not uncommon for her to climb into the arms of volunteers at the animal shelter and not want to leave. The animal shelter routine takes a toll on Gloria, as she, like any young puppy, has a lot of energy and is very active, causing her to be quite frustrated when confined to her run. Gloria shares her run with an older male dog, with whom she gets along well, but she always prefers people, especially when they have a little time for her.

DE·Show original

About Gloria

What life with Gloria looks like

Gloria is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gloria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gloria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gloria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gloria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gloria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gloria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gloria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
