Goldi

Labrador Retriever · Male · Senior · 11 years

Goldi completely does not find his way in the kennel run, has trouble with emotions, which sometimes leads him to bite hands through the bars - he just gets bored, he is an energetic and spirited dog who needs something to do. Outside the kennel, he is a wonderful dog, who knows basic commands, and will learn more with treats. He loves all activities, would be a great companion for running, walks, or long, intense walks, where he can properly tire himself out. He can walk on a leash, and at first even very energetically, but when the first wave of excitement passes, he calms down. He has a positive attitude towards children, but they should be somewhat older, preferably school age, because he is a type of dog that, once he gets to know a person, becomes very expressive in emotions, which sometimes makes him a bit rough and a small child might accidentally get hurt. Goldi is curious about the world, interested in everything around him, likes to sniff, is very funny and very cheerful.

PL·Show original

About Goldi

What life with Goldi looks like

Goldi is a large senior labrador retriever dog waiting at Funny Pets Czartki in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goldi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goldi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Funny Pets Czartki handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goldi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goldi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Funny Pets Czartki will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Goldi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goldi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Funny Pets Czartki early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goldi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
