Adopt Goldie

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 8 months

Goldie is a small, beige-golden, long-haired dog with a huge heart and incredible sensitivity. The beginning at the animal shelter was difficult for him - he was very scared, couldn't walk on a leash and was afraid of the caretakers. However, from the very beginning he showed his gentle nature. Thanks to patient and calm work, it was possible to convince Goldie that nothing threatens him and he can trust humans. Day by day he became more confident during walks, and now he's completely different 😊 He loves going out for walks and joyfully explores the world. He can even walk with newly met people, infecting everyone with his positive energy. Goldie loves being petted and doesn't hesitate to ask for it - he lies down under your legs, exposes his belly and demands to be scratched. Contact with other dogs is also very important to him - he gladly walks with them, encourages them to play and enjoys their company. We don't know his past - he is one of the dogs that wandered around the village and ended up at the animal shelter. However, we know that we can change his future. We are looking for a loving and responsible home for Goldie, which will compensate for all his bad experiences and show him how beautiful life can be next to a human. 💛 Goldie was born around 10/2017. He is neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Adopting a dog from an animal shelter, remember that the description you just read refers to the dog's behavior in shelter conditions. The dog's behavior may change in a new home.

Goldie to nieduży, beżowo-złoty, długowłosy psiak o ogromnym sercu i niesamowitej wrażliwości.

About Goldie

What life with Goldie looks like

Goldie is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Goldie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Goldie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Goldie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Goldie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Goldie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Goldie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Goldie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
