Golfo

Mixed Breed · Male

This is Golfo! He arrived at ADANA a month ago. He was picked up from the streets, and no one has claimed him yet. The time limit has passed, and it's time to find a family for him. Golfo is approximately 7 years old. He is a super calm and noble "fine scent hound," of large size. His character makes him compatible with any type of dog. We enjoy walks with him; he is not reactive, does not bark. A must-see! His gaze conveys calm and a desire to be close to people 💚 We don't know what life he had before, but it seems he didn't live under the best conditions. Currently, he has back pain, but this can be treated with medication, appropriate habits, and a warm and comfortable bed. Analytically, he is perfect, and he is negative for leishmania. Do you want to give him this life he has never had? For more information, write to . From ADANA, we only manage adoptions for residents in the province of Barcelona and do not send any animals outside the province. If you are interested in meeting him, please request an appointment by writing an email to . And very important: let our caregivers advise you, and you will find your four-legged orange half. Thanks for understanding! As with all dogs of the animal rescue association, whether purebred or not, he will be surrendered for adoption after being spayed or neutered, or with the commitment to neuter him as soon as possible in the case of female dog, and evaluated for the suitability of the adopting family. We encourage you to give him a chance! Do you want to know more or become the new family for Golfo? He is waiting for you in ADANA! Contact us through the website, Facebook, or email!, or call us at (e). Why choose a dog from an animal rescue association? You save two lives: the one of the animal you adopt, and the one of the one that will take its place in the animal rescue association or shelter. By helping, you give them a second chance, a home, and prevent them from dying on the streets. If there is no demand, there is no deal: puppy mills are places where dogs survive in very cramped cages, and the only thing they do is breed and raise. If we all adopted, these puppy mills would close, and we would solve the overpopulation of animals on the streets. You won't change the world, but you will change his and yours: by allowing him to have the life he deserves. Sleeping on a warm and comfortable bed, walking with a family that adores him, playing and having fun with him and/or with other dogs. In short, being happy, receiving unconditional love, and being grateful for it all your life. If you decide to adopt, do it with your heart! Adopt! If you are interested in adopting Golfo or any other animal from ADANA, you meet the necessary requirements for adoption, and you are willing to meet his needs and maintain him according to the applicable regulations, Collaborate! We need your help to ensure Golfo has a good future. By sharing this post, you will help us find a family that will cherish him as soon as possible, for good, forever! Many thanks! We make it easy for you! Here are the direct links to the forms to contact us.

T’està esperant a ADANA! About Golfo

What life with Golfo looks like

Golfo is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at ADANA Alella (Protectora Animals) in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Golfo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Golfo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ADANA Alella (Protectora Animals) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Golfo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Golfo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ADANA Alella (Protectora Animals) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Golfo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Golfo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ADANA Alella (Protectora Animals) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Golfo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
