Male, born September 2025, EKH, in the shelter since 3/23/2026, apartment/outdoor access. Gonzales was found in Stemwede and suffered from a cold. Upon arrival, it became clear that he also had severe diarrhea. We have largely managed both issues, but the cold appears to have become chronic and occurs occasionally. We were able to manage the diarrhea after a long process of feeding only hypoallergenic food. He is currently in quarantine because his symptoms made it difficult to vaccinate him for a long time. He has now had his first vaccination and is looking for a home soon. He is very active and has a lot of energy, so he should have the opportunity to lead an active life in his new home. He is very understimulated in the shelter and sometimes has difficulty controlling the force of his love bites. In any case, he should not mind if the furniture is rearranged from time to time. We only place cats in apartment living with existing companion animals or another friend. We only place outdoor cats in quiet residential areas.

Nachdem er bei uns ankam war schnell klar, dass er neben dem Schnupfen auch unter massivem Durchfall litt. Beide Problematiken haben wir mittlerweile weitesgehend im Griff, jedoch scheint der Schnupfen bereits chronifiziert zu sein und er tritt vereinzelt immer mal wieder auf. Den Durchfall konnten wir nach langem hin und her mit der ausschließlichen Fütterung von Allergiefutter in den Griff bekommen. Derzeit befindet er sich noch im Quarantänebreich, da er wegen seiner angänglichen Symptome lange nicht geimpft werden konnte. Seine Erste Impfung hat er nun gut verkraftet und deshalb sucht er zeitnah ein Zuhause. Er ist sehr agil und hat viel Energie, weshalb er in seinem neuen Zuhause die Möglichkeit haben sollte, ein aktives Leben zu führen. Im Tierheim ist er sehr unterfordert und weiß die Kraft seiner Liebesbisse manchmal nur schwer zu dosieren. Auf jeden Fall sollte man mit ihm nichts dagegen haben, wenn die Einrichtung hin und wieder mal umdekoriert wird. In Wohnungshaltung vermitteln wir unsere Katzen nur zu bereits vorhandenen Partnertieren oder mit einem weiteren Kumpel. Freigänger Katzen vermitteln wir nur in ruhige Wohngegenden.
